Solitude Yearns

Rising up from the fallen dark,
Washing his mind to fall apart,
Promising to remain a bosom mark,
Feeling pleased with a broken heart.

Oh, to his sheer dismay
“Could you please be on my side?”
asked the soul to the woody grey
with none around to take a ride!

Snowing over the longest night
Showering the earth with a heavenly cry
The Absolute speaks, with His fullest might
“Feel free to let you die!”

Oh, with his final words
“The heartiest efforts have gone in vain!”
asked the soul to the loudest birds,
“Help me find out what I could gain.”
